The free plan gives you a full daily session with word reviews plus complete access to your dictionary and the study materials. Plus lifts the cap on new-material sessions and adds tracks the free plan does not have: grammar, radicals, and unlimited generation of dialogues and texts.
The free plan
- A daily session with word reviews.

- Full access to your dictionary: tags, collections, your own words.
- All the self-study materials.
That is enough to keep a dictionary and hold it in active shape indefinitely. The limit is on how fast you take on new material, not on learning itself.
What Plus adds

Why the free plan limits sessions rather than words
Capping the dictionary would make no sense: reviews are the whole point of the service, and cutting them would break the learning. So the free plan limits the intake of new material while leaving what you already have alone — reviews stay available at all times.
