← How the service works

Account and billing

Payment and cancellation

A trial does not turn into a paid subscription by itself: when it ends, the plan simply switches to the free one and nothing is charged. Money is only taken after you have arranged payment yourself.

The trial

During the trial the Plus features are available. When it runs out, access to them stops and the account stays on the free plan — your dictionary, progress and reviews are untouched.

Auto-renewal

A paid subscription may have automatic renewal switched on, in which case it renews itself at the end of the period. That state is shown on the subscription page, and that is where you can stop it.

How to cancel

Cancelling is done on the subscription page — reach it from settings, via the "Tomyo Plus" block and the "Manage" button. The cancel button lives there, together with a confirmation showing the date your access runs until.

Cancelling does not cut off Plus straight away: access remains until the end of the period you already paid for, and automatic charges stop. When the period ends, the plan switches to the free one.

What happens to your progress

Nothing. Your dictionary, word stages, writing, phrases and full history survive any subscription change. Only the intake of new material and access to Plus features are restricted.

What to do if…

Plus is active although I never paid for anything

That is the trial. It ends by itself, no money is taken, and the account moves to the free plan. Nothing needs doing.

I cancelled but Plus still works

By design: you paid for the whole period, so access lasts until it ends. Automatic charges have already been stopped.

I cannot find where to cancel

Open settings, find the "Tomyo Plus" block and press "Manage" — the cancel button is on the subscription page that opens. If it is not there, you most likely have lifetime access or an active trial: in both cases there is nothing to cancel.
