Dui-dui

Dui-dui asks you to match a Chinese word with its translation, and later levels also use pictures. The board uses words from your dictionary. The game helps you recognise them faster, but tracks its own progress: finding a pair does not replace a daily vocabulary review.

How to play

Open Practice → Games → Dui-dui. Turn over cards and find pairs until you clear the board. Audio helps connect the written word with its pronunciation. Later levels replace some translations with pictures.

Words and levels

The game chooses words you have already encountered: recently studied words first, then other words in progress and familiar ones. The set changes between rounds. Words with the same translation may be left out of a board so pairs stay unambiguous.

A new level needs both enough vocabulary and completed rounds on the previous level. A locked level card shows which condition is missing. Adding more words alone may not be enough.

Continuing or starting again

You can continue an unfinished round on the same device. A new round replaces the saved board. Unlocked levels and completed rounds are stored separately from the board state.

Basic allows one new round per day. It counts when the board is dealt, not when you win. Continuing an existing round does not use another allowance. Plus removes this daily limit.

What to do if…

I have dictionary words, but cannot start the game

The board needs words you have encountered with usable translations. Several words sharing one translation may not provide enough distinct pairs. Complete a regular study session and return to the game.

I found every pair, but word progress did not increase

That is expected: the game saves its result and unlocks its own levels. Vocabulary stages, review dates and the study streak are updated through study sessions.
