What changed on the website and in the Tomyo apps

Tomyo is a platform for learning Chinese: HSK 1–6 vocabulary with spaced repetition, grammar, character writing and conversations with other learners. It works on the web, iPhone and Android with shared progress. This is where we record what changed in every release.

    The home screen shows your goal and progress, and the journey map by HSK level and writing practice have arrived.

    • The home screen is redesigned: the lesson in the centre, progress rings for words, grammar and radicals, your journey map in the background.
    • Basics lessons — pinyin, characters, phrases — are open from day one.
    • New “Calligraphy” card: writing practice on your own words.

    You can set a password in settings, and account deletion shows what will be lost.

    • Settings show which services are linked: Google, Apple, Yandex.
    • You can change your password or set one for the first time, confirming with a code from an email.
    • Before deleting your account you see what will be lost: “340 words and 128 lessons”.

    Tomyo is available in English, and grammar is learned faster.

    • The interface, emails and materials are available in English.
    • The language is chosen in settings and kept across all your devices.
    • Plus can be paid for with a foreign card in US dollars.
