Cultural hint
Bargaining is appropriate in markets and small shops. The phrase 能便宜一点吗 (néng piányi yìdiǎn ma - “can it be a little cheaper?”) works in many informal situations.
In large chain stores prices are fixed. Receipts 小票 (xiǎopiào - “cash register receipt”) or 收据 (shōujù - “receipt”) are not always given automatically, so ask if you need one.
