Pattern diagram
Rule structure
At the end of a statement, 呢 (ne) can highlight a fact and draw the listener’s attention to it. For example, the speaker may emphasize an ability, an evaluation, or an attitude toward the situation. In this use, 呢 (ne) does not turn the sentence into a question and does not by itself mark an ongoing action; the nuance depends on context and intonation.
