Rule structure

经 (jīng) (jīng) is a preposition introducing an intermediary, path, or completed process: 经朋友介绍 (jīng péng yǒu jiè shào), 经调查发现 (jīng tiáo chá fā xiàn), 经他同意 (jīng tā tóng yì). It differs from 经过 (jīng guò) (jīngguò) and 通过 (tōngguò): 经 (jīng) (jīng) is shorter and more common in written style. It takes a noun or verb before the main action.
