Rule structure

The main monetary unit is the yuan, written (yuán), but in colloquial speech (kuài) is used more often. Both units follow directly after the number: Numeral + (yuán) / (kuài). There are also smaller monetary units: (máo) or (jiǎo) — one-tenth of a yuan, and (fēn) — one-hundredth of a yuan.
